We've just spent a wonderful morning with members of the Sked family, all descended from the blacksmith Skeds of Dunbar, who ended up all over Mid & East Lothian. Many of today's visitors had direct connections to the 4 generations of Cousland Sked blacksmiths. Some had memories of being at the cottage as children, others remembered Kit working at the forge and with horses. Many had never met before so it was a pleasure to get them all together. We made many new friends and found out lots about the family tree. They also brought photos, and took many more. Thanks for coming!
