The Diaries written by George Gibson Mercer, belong to the Mercer Family and contain many gems of information about what was grown on the farm when, who was employed - a number of 'weel kent' names feature, and other local businesses etc.
CLHP have a stand at Dalkeith Show on 13th July, kindly donated by the Show Committee as George was their Chair around 100 years ago, where we will launch the publication to the wider farming community, and no doubt hear that some of the descendants of the names are there!
