Only 4 more days to get the smiddy & Heritage Hub ready for Midlothian Doors Open Day. We are also part of the Scottish archaeology & heritage festival and a European Industrial Heritage Year venue so are looking forward to welcoming visitors.
The weather is promising to be fairly settled, volunteers are baking some tasty treats and Sean the blacksmith is busy making a range of items for sale.
We start at 10am with a 'ribbon cutting' as this is the very first day that the new Heritage Hub will be open to the public, and the blacksmith will be on hand all day, demonstrating his craft.
