Deacon Alan Dickson of The Incorporation of Hammermen of Edinburgh, awards a cheque to Cousland Smiddy Trust. Blacksmith Sean Cockburn took up the tenancy of the smiddy on 1st July 2015 and the award was to assist in his start up.
Sean continues a long tradition of smiths working at Cousland which began around 1703, and where the Sked family worked for 4 generations from 1878 until 1986.
